Technical Ontologies and Linked Data Sites
There are technical (horizontal) OWL ontologies and Linked Data sites that provide reusable models and data that span all industries.
The W3C is the foundation for Internet standards such as HTML, HTTP, and TCP/IP. They have the most widely used collection of technical ontologies such as SKOS, PROV-O, DCAT, and many more.
Linked Data is a method for publishing structured data on the Web using resolvable identifiers and RDF, allowing information from different sources to be connected and explored as part of a larger graph. The Linked Open Data Cloud visualizes datasets published in this format and linked across many domains.
